7-8 years Experience

Seven years ago I decided to trade in my desk job for a career in health and fitness and today it's still the best decision I ever made. I received my personal training certification from NFPT in 2007 followed by a certification in nutrition in 2009. In August 2010, I earned my Level One CrossFit certification.

I graduated from Kansas State's Distance Dietetics program with a Bachelors of Science degree in Dietetics in 2013 and I'm excited to combine my fitness career with this degree! In addition, I hold a Bachelor of Specialized Studies in Journalism and Communications from Ohio University.

Throughout my time as a trainer, I have adopted my own personal style, which combines total body strength training and endurance with a focus on balance and agility. I believe in working the whole body in every session while alternating between resistance movements and bursts of cardio in a varied manner that always keeps the body guessing.

I have trained everyone from athletes to pregnant women to body builders to the elderly and I'm proud of my ability to adapt to the various ages, fitness levels, and injuries.

In addition to personal training, I have a passion for educating others on the importance of eating a balanced, portion-oriented diet, rich in nutrient-dense foods and the relationship that those factors play in reaching and maintaining a healthy BMI.
