11+ years Experience

Growing up I always had a great appreciation for martial arts because of my father’s influence. As a master and black belt of Kung Fu, my father always believed that the human body had limitless ability and that anything is possible with proper training. The more I watched my father at tournaments and the more I observed what he was able to accomplish with mentally and physically. This appreciation for martial arts was the catalyst for my passion to become a great athlete. From the time I was 12, I enjoyed spending hours in the gym lifting weights and using machines to strengthen my body. It wasn’t until I was about the age of 18 that I made some friends in the gym who offered to teach me how to train with weights that I really begin to desire a more defined athletic build. A few years later, I learned about fitness and figure competitions and decided that this was something I wanted to aspire to. After spending 5 years as a real estate broker, I realized that I was not following my dreams and my heart was not completely engaged in my work as it had been in the beginning of my real estate career. Three children later, decided that it was time to train seriously for my first figure competition and I competed in the 2011 Emerald Cup where I placed 13th and went on to place 8th at my second Vancouver Figure Competition in 2012. It was a wonderful learning experience for me and thanks to my trainer, Emily Stirling, who coached me for that competition, I learned a wealth of information about competition training and dieting.  It’s official, I am addicted to fitness and health and I am determined to help and inspire as many people as I can while on my journey.

In addition to continuing education and training for competitions, I also offer fitness consulting for my clients. Please take a look at my client portfolio for more information..
