5-6 years Experience
Whether it was playing in the yard with my 3 brothers or involvement in town sports programs, fitness has been a part of my life since childhood. I was a 3-sport athlete at in High School, went on to play soccer in college and still play. I received my bachelors degree in Athletic Training from the University of South Carolina and my masters degree in Counseling from Pace University. I have been a Certified Athletic Trainer since 1998 and have worked with all ages and in all sports – ranging from Div. I college football players to local kids teams. I enjoyed training and rehabbing athletes as they returned to their sport/activity, most times stronger than pre-injury. I decided to combine by Athletic training knowledge with my love of fitness and become a personal trainer. I started teaching group fitness classes over 10 years ago in addition to my 9-5 job. As my family grew, I started to focus more on the health/fitness industry, and soon it became my primary interest. In the past few years I became trained in TRX and Metabolic Training, in addition to my other certification as a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor. I am also a Certified Cancer Trainer. I like to work with all levels, ages and gender. I have worked wtih high level athletes, pre and post natal women, older adults, kids...you name it, I have worked with them. I believe fitness and health is a lifestyle, not a "quick fix". Train with me and you will see the difference!
